EXPLORE THE GREAT SANDY STRAITS OF WORLD HERITAGE FRASER ISLAND
Unlike so many houseboat operations the magic climate of the Fraser Island area,
coupled by the protected waterways makes for safe boating all year round. The vast areas of land to explore are predominately national park. The opportunities to go ashore and explore,perhaps a picnic are many varied.

Nature and wildlife are abundant and you will see dolphins,turtles, dugong. Perhaps a Fraser island dingo.
The bird life also is spectacular so bring your binoculars.

  

 There are endless opportunities to capture great photos.  We love to receive some shot's from you.

             

 There is such a thing as a free lunch, breakfast or dinner.  The Great Sandy Straits are famous for being one  of Queenslands  best crabbing grounds.   Fishing is equally renowned. 

             

 ANCHORAGES.

Teebar Creek, Kauri Creek, Pelican Bay and Bullock Point. 
Are all within a couple of hours from base. Mooring buoys are located here for your convenience.
They all have lovely sandy beaches at low tide, nesting kites, dolphins, dugongs, turtles all call these creeks home. The fishing and crabbing is ideal in these creeks. Leisurely hours can be spent collecting bait at low tide.
If you require a service run for supplies or passenger delivery we can also arrange this. (service fee applies)

Elbow Point The Bluff  These anchorages are lovely day anchorages along Fraser Island. Nice sandy beaches.

Browns Gutter. This a sheltered place along Fraser Island great for fishing and crabbing.

Garry's Anchorage. This lovely anchorage is about 1/2 way along Fraser Island. Beautiful sandy beaches,
abundant wildlife, fabulous sunsets and very sheltered in all conditions.
This is a perfect place to have a picnic on Fraser Island and stretch your legs.

Yankee Jack Creek  Beautiful anchorage, surrounded by sandy beaches. The water is blue and crystal clear.
Great crabbing and whiting fishing.

South White Cliffs  Seratodus Ship Wreck located here. Lovely anchorage at Deep Creek

Mc Kenzie Jetty Ruins Nice day anchorage on route to Kingfisher Bay Resort.

King Fisher Bay Resort is the cruising limit north.

There are numerous other designated anchorages which will be discussed during your briefing.

Weather and tidal conditions are explained to you during your briefing.
We monitor the weather each day and make sure you are in a safe anchorage.
Some anchorages can only be acheived in certain weather conditions.

Hires commence at 1.00 pm and complete at 9 am. Early departures can be arranged subject to availability. 

MARINA
Our Marina base is located at Carlo Pt, Rainbow Beach.
Take the first turn left at Rainbow Beach. This is Carlo Rd. Drive 2 klms
to Carlo Pt where you will be greeted for departure.
We will assist you unpack and valet you to and from the security car park.
After a friendly on operations and navigation and after a short drive the helm will be yours.

We maintain VHF Marine Radio contact with you,2 scheduled radios calls are required each
morning and afternoon. This is to log your anchorage for your safety and also we
can assist you with your plans for cruising.

 If you wish to tow your own boat, fenders are required. They can be hired for $25 per boat.
Any boat over 4.5mts must be driven individually and not towed by the houseboat.
